Through this initiative, New York Road Runners is working with community leaders and volunteers to bring free weekly runs to local neighborhood parks. All runs are directed by volunteers and are free to all participants.

Open Run is a community-based, volunteer-led initiative, designed to be led by members of each home park community. Community members volunteer once a quarter, or four times a year.
